This is Leroy, a Black Mouth Cur.  His color is red with a black mask and ears.  He is Southern Black Mouth Cur Breeders Association (SBMCBA), and United Kennel Club (UKC) registered.  Leroy is out of  Bliss' Zeus, and Bliss' Athena.  As a hog dog, he's a real good one!  As a friend, he's the BEST!  Leroy will find us a hog when none of the others can.  Medium to long range, and silent.  When you hear him bark, he has one stopped and is looking at it!  Not too pushy, but puts enough teeth in one to stop them.    January 1, 2002 - February 14, 2008     

Just Plain Pearl

March 19, 2001 - July 9, 2008 

This is Pearl, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is yellow with a black mask.  She is Foundation Black Mouth Cur Breeders Organization (FBMCBO), SBMCBA, and UKC registered.  Pearl is out of Wright's Cow Camp, and Jody's Rosebud.  She is an out cross out of the Simms line.   Medium to long range, and runs track or will wind off the box.  Not to pushy, bays loose (back a little) until one tries to break, then she will put enough teeth in him to shut him down again.  She is a little open mouthed after one breaks and runs, but fast enough to shut him back down again.  

This is Zeb, a Black Mouth Cur.  His color is yellow with a black mask.  Zeb is FBMCBO, and UKC registered.  He is out of Wrights Ben 001 (Uno), and our Pearl.  He holds a 37.5% Weatherford's Ben, and a 50% Just Plain Pearl bloodline.  About  75 pounds plus...he is a big dog!  Medium to long range, and silent.  When he barks, the hog is stopped and he is looking at it.  He will catch on small hogs, but smart enough to know when to wait for the catch dog.   He belongs to our daughter.  She has done most of the training, and has done a good job, if I do say so myself.

Bay Head's Just Plain Hazel

This is Hazel, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is red with a black mask.  Hazel is  SBMCBA, and UKC registered.  She is out of our Leroy and our Pearl.  She holds a 50% Bay Head's Just Plain Leroy, and a 50% Just Plain Pearl bloodline.  Medium range.  Not to pushy, bays loose until one tries to break, then she will put enough teeth in him to shut him down.  Hazel belongs to our son, who is doing most of the training, and doing a fine job at it!    

This is Floyd, a Black Mouth Cur.  His color is yellow, with a black mask and black ears.  He is UKC registered.  Floyd is out of our Leroy and our Hazel.  He holds a 75% Bay Head's Just Plain Leroy, and a 25% Just Plain Pearl bloodline.  Right now he is medium range and getting better.  He is still a young pup and hasn't been hunted much.  We have been taking him to the fox pen for training.  This will be his first season in the big woods, and we look forward to hunting with him.  Floyd also, belongs to our son, who is doing most of the training with him as well.

This is Opal, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is yellow with a black mask.  She is UKC registered.  Opal is out of Bay Head's Just Plain Rock (which belongs to our nephew Eugene Smith) and our Pearl.  She holds a 27% Weatherford's Ben, and a 50% Just Plain Pearl bloodline.  Opal has only been to the fox pen for training a couple of times.  She is only a pup.  She will be ready to go this hunting season, and look forward to hunting with her. 

This is Lily, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is buckskin with a black mask, and is bobtailed.  She is FBMCBO and UKC registered.  Lily is out of Benson's Rebel and Joy's Kallie.  She holds a 40.625% Weatherford's Ben bloodline.  Medium to long range, and silent with plenty of grit. Will wind of the box or run a track.

This is Trudy, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is light yellow.  She is UKC and NKC registered.  She holds a 51% Weatherford's Ben bloodline.  Trudy is out of Thornton's Southern Pearl.  We received her from a friend, Charlie Thornton.  She is a new addition to our hunting family.

This is Ida, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is red, with a black mask and ears.  She is out of Bay Head's Just Plain Bo, (which belongs to our friend James Vozniak) and Bay Head's Just Plain Tater.  Ida holds a 50% Bay Head's Just Plain Leroy, and a 16.625% Weatherford's Ben bloodline.  She is the newest addition to our hunting family.

This is Tater, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is yellow, with a blacked mask.  She is UKC registered.  She is out of our Leroy and Bay Head's Just Plain Ester.  Tater holds a 50% Bay Head's Just Plain Leroy bloodline and a 33.25% Weatherford's Ben bloodline.  Medium range, and is silent.  Not to pushy, bays loose until one tries to break, then she will put enough teeth in him to shut him down again. 

This is Frankie, a Black Mouth Cur.  Her color is yellow.  She is FBMCBO registered.  Frankie is out of Just Plain Zeb and Bay Head's Just Plain Lily.  She holds a 39.0625% Weatherford's Ben bloodline.  Medium to long range.  Frankie runs silent with plenty of grit. Will wind of the box or run a track.

 Mavis

This is Mavis, a Catahoula.  About 35 pounds if she's lucky, but her heart says she's 90 pounds!  She is medium to long range.  With her you're going to need a tracking system.  Open mouthed as they come, but only after she has found one. She's one dog that makes you love her because she loves to hunt.  We hunt her with our hounds.

This is Garnet, a Plott Hound.  Her color is brown brindle.  She is UKC registered.  She is out of 'PR' Bay Head's Just Plain Mack, and 'PR' Preacher's Jezebel.  We recieved her from a friend, Johnny Bridges.  Garnet has been run with our Black Mouth Curs all her life, and runs silent.  She will run a colder track than our Black Mouth's, but not as cold as Edger and Lucille, which are her puppies.  Garnet does open on track after a hog has been jumped, but only as long as she can see it and then silent again.  She doesn't like to wind off the box, but will wind inside the box.  When that happens, you can turn them loose, and the race is on!

'PR' Bay Head's Just Plain Edger

This is Edger, a Plott Hound.  His color is black with brown brindle trim.  He is UKC registered.  He is out of 'PR' Motsingers Weed Eater, and 'PR' Bay Head's Just Plain Garnet.  He holds a 50% Weed Eater bloodline.  He will run a pretty cold track.  Edger has a nice loud, pretty voice.  He tries to work out things out before he tells anyone what he has found.  Edger is a little unsure about himself, but I think it is because his sister is so voice-full!  He has to go see what she has found.  He is still a young dog. 

This is Lucille, a Plott Hound.  Her color is black with brindle trim.  She is out of 'PR' Motsinger's Weed Eater, and 'PR' Bay Head's Just Plain Garnet.  She holds a 50% Weed Eater bloodline.  Lucille is very open.  You  defiantly know when she hits a track, she lets EVERYONE know.   LUCILLE HAS A VOICE LIKE NO OTHER, AND SHE USES IT VERY WELL!!  She is lots of fun to listen to!  She will run the coldest track out of Garnet and Edger.  She just hasn't got everything figured out yet.  When she does get it, LOOK OUT!
